A Litter of Weimaraners
There were seven pups in Ferns last litter, it was a major task to take a photo of all seven pups together, the best we could manage is this photo of the six pup's. This photo was taken a split second before they all came running to see who dare enter their area.
The pups left the litter to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old, at this age they are becoming too rough for their mum, and she will have started spending less time with them.

A Weimaraners gestation period
or pregnancy is usually 63 days
or 9 weeks after fertilisation,
give or take a couple of days.
The pups are born with their eyes closed, and depend heavily on their sense of smell touch and hearing, until their eyes open at 7 - 14 days.
Pedigree Weimaraner pups are born with bright blue eyes, which gradually change colour to amber by 6 - 9 months of age, be carefull of people advertising "blue eyed pups".
